• Migrating Stripers: Rhode Island...Hudson River

“Migrating striped bass have arrived…we have migrating school striped bass in the Pawcatuck River. I saw an eagle with one in its mouth on my way to work today. A couple of weeks ago the herring arrived followed by the migrating bass. Anglers are starting to catch striped bass…

• Hudson River Stripers


“This spring's striped bass run up the Hudson River appears to be a week or more behind schedule, due to the lingering cold temperatures.

“ That doesn't dampen the enthusiasm, though, of anglers and charter boat captains eager to catch these hard-fighting, salt water fish that make their way up the river this time of year to spawn in fresh water....”
