“Snappers are pretty much gone and bigger blues are definitely showing signs of a slowdown, but reports continue to be good for bluefish. Porgies (scup) are definitely slowing down — enough so most bottom bouncers have made the switch to winter flounder and blackfish…

“Black sea bass are also better than they should be at this time of the year, with sharpies finding them on deeper structure as the water cools. Blackfish anglers are already predicting a banner fall season...”
