• Fishing Report: Norwalk Area

“It’s August and it’s hot. The annual slowdown continues in both fresh and salt water, and this year it’s not all that bad. Striped Bass are still being caught by the sharpies, mostly at night, dawn or dusk with bunker and live eels accounting for most of the fish.

“Bottom fishing on the salty side is hanging in nicely with porgies and black sea bass leading the charge and especially in local waters where fluke fishing is continuing better than average....”
