• Finally Back Out On the Water

Although it was blowing 20 knots out there today, and despite NOAA small-craft warnings, Wayne and I went out to the barracuda hole...just to relieve the boredom if nothing else. We saw dozens of large cudas, had a lot of follows, only three bites, only one fish landed...

..but it was a decent fish that put up one heckuva battle.

• First Commercially Raised Saltwater Striped Bass

“Pacifico Aquaculture has developed the world's first successful commercial producer of high quality ocean-raised striped bass. The fish is the true striped bass, Morone saxatilis, rather than the widely raised freshwater hybrid bass.
