• Long Island Sound: A Body of Water in Crisis

“Dead fish and rotting sea turtles wash ashore. Vast meadows of eelgrass — home for myriad species — vanish. Algae chokes bays, and local beaches shut down more frequently.

NOTE: We need to blast a one-mile wide channel through the center of Long Island, from the Sound to the Atlantic; in this way we'd get some circulation going in the western Sound.
