“Now that the hordes of bluefish have mostly moved back into Gardiners Bay and Long Island Sound to gorge on the clouds of baby bunker and rain minnows, the stripers in the rips off Montauk are a little easier (and cheaper) to access. Wire line trolling is accounting for the most fish, but drifting eels is working well too, both day and night…
