• Connecticut, Long Island Sound, Housatonic River Saltwater Fishing Report: 10 June 2015

Bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish, bluefish!

Andrew C. joined me on Shoo-Fly on Thursday. He brought along "George Strait," his cowboy hat, which, he said, ensured good luck.

And, apparently, he was right.

We got into bluefish up to 8.5 lbs...

...that ate about anything we threw at them: Jig and swim bait, diving plugs, surface plugs...

...we had to add short wire leaders to keep from losing lures.

Nice fish.

This day all fish were returned to the water.

George Strait went for an unexpected swim...

...but that didn't seem to affect the fishing.
