Charlie W. and I were out on the Housatonic River on Monday. |
Managed to hook up with some schoolie stripers, however, the bite was not as good as our last trip...probably because we didn't leave the dock until 1 p.m. whereas the other day we hit the water in the morning. |
Most of the schoolies were in the 18-20" range... |
...but Charlie brought in a near-keeper that was the biggest fish of the trip |
You've probably noticed the increase in the number of pesky bugs around your residence as the temperatures finally start to climb. They're also on the River. I suggested to Charlie that all personal watercraft should be used to form a fishing reef in Long Island Sound. Note that I've blurred the face and the registration number on this bug. |
Gull found a good dinner for himself. Nothing goes to waste in our waters. Source: ConnecticutSaltwaterFishing.com |
