• Fishing Report: Thames River Area

“Bluefish, scientific name, Pomatomus saltatrix, spawn offshore to our south during the spring and move into the Northeast during midsummer and fall to feed.

”As a result of their breeding habits, most young bluefish hatch in the open ocean and head toward the coast. They arrive sometime during August or September and range in length from 3 to 5 inches.
