• Fishing Report: NYC & Western Long Island Sound

“Nice-sized fluke are being taken in Eastchester Bay…. They’re in shallow water — 15 to 20 feet deep — around barges and bridges.

”Porgies are in residence a bit deeper, like at 20 to 30 feet, in Sands and Prospect Points. They’re a popular quarry for those renting skiffs from Jack’s Bait and Tackle in City Island. Bluefish, busy feeding on bunkers, may be the only handicap in getting to those porgies.”
