• Striped Bass Also Go Back to School

“Think of September as back-to-school time for striped bass as well. In the summer, stripers tend to spread out in their hunt for food, picking away at a mix of crabs, lobsters, worms, clams, eels, squid, and any small fish that cross their paths.

”Then, as waters cool and baitfish begin to move out of the backwaters and form large schools along the shore, bass take notice. They too start to group up to take advantage of the baitfish bounty.”
