• Fishing Report: Cape Cod


“The fishing on the Cape is probably not as good as it was during its peak, but striper numbers are holding steady. The month of September triggers cold fronts that kick in the feeding instincts of sport fish throughout the area, bringing more action than during summer's hot weather, including big stripers and bluefish hitting on the surface.

"The other good news is that September is often a time when anglers have the chance at the striper of a lifetime, with several 40-plus-pound fish being caught each year.”
