• “Shad's Resurgence In Connecticut River Continues”


“Connecticut River shad stocks continue to rebound, with state biologists reporting another banner year for the fish that returns from the ocean each spring to spawn in the river.


”Nearly to 400,000 shad were counted this spring at the Holyoke dam in Massachusetts, where migratory fish are tallied, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.”
