• About Striped Bass

“When I was growing up in Southeast Connecticut we spent many a spring, summer and fall fishing for bluefish and striped bass in the Long Island Sound, particularly in the “race” between Montauk Point and Block Island or between Block Island and Fishers Island. It was a productive and fun way to spend our weekend and summer days.

”We would start in the early, pre-dawn morning fishing for pinfish and maidenhead with Sabiki rigs. Once sufficient bait fish were boarded we would haul off to our favorite drift spots and begin fishing for our real prey.”
