• Fishing in Long Island Sound Will Take a While to Recover After Sandy

“Fishing itself isn't likely to return to normal for a week or more. The waters of Long Island Sound will be full of debris ranging from driftwood to wrecks and seaweed by the ton. Every cast is likely to see swimming and popping plugs tangled in weeds. Jigs and bucktails worked in the depths could get down to the fish.

”No one can predict what the fish will do in the face of such an enormous storm. They could have headed for deep water ahead of the weather fronts or they could have hung around to take advantage of the enormous amount of food produced by a big blow.”
