• Connecticut, Long Island Sound, Housatonic River Saltwater Fishing Report: 16 NOV 2012

The dredge Currituck was at the Marina dock on Friday...fueling up for the day's work...as Charlie W. and I headed out on the River.

We were into schoolie striped bass most of the time we were out there.

Day was mostly cloudy although some blue sky could be seen intermittently.

Looked as though it could snow for a while there.

We both got fish on the fly rod.

Here's a schoolie "twofer."

I was using a two fly setup and these two stripers each grabbed a fly.

Headed back to the dock through the marsh at the end of the trip...which will be our last time on the water for 2012.

Our next fishing reports will come to you from Islamorada in the Florida Keys.

Best wished to our readers for a great holiday season.

Capt. Skip
