• New York City Area Fishing Report

“The bottom fishing scene continues to get high praise from party boat captains all around Long Island. In fact, Steve Kearney on the Point Lookout Super Hawk said that customers can reach their limits so quickly that he is staying with his daily schedule of two half-day trips rather than changing over to full-day outings.

“Capt. Chuck Patterson on the Sheepshead Bay Jet agrees, noting that it often takes only one drop and a couple of hours to satisfy his porgy and sea bass customers.

“Bluefish are the other marine stars, with striped bass beginning to come out of their warm water stupor.”
