Sunrise on the second of two-straight early days on the water failed to foretell just how hot and windless the morning would be. |
But no problems...we were into fish within a half-mile of the dock. These blues ran to 8 pounds and were feeding on the surface. |
Wayne J. and I caught many fish on surface poppers. |
And, once again, we caught [and released] a lot of fish. |
Here Wayne works on yet another large bluefish. |
Some fish make better runs than bluefish do, but few fight harder. |
Wayne's getting his surface popper out of the blue's mouth before releasing the fish back into the water. |
This fish fell to a fly-rod surface popper. Another great day on the water. |
