Fishing Report: Long Island’s North Fork

”Both Montauk Point and the waters off Orient have been producing striped bass, porgies, bluefish and the occasional false albacore. The reef off Shinnecock has given up recent fluke, sea bass, porgies and some triggerfish. Best of all, there's tons of bait in our locality, always faithfully followed by predators in search of a meal. Even blue-claw crabbers are giving a generous thumbs-up to this year's season. And the 'Fall Run,' is just days away.”
