10/20 Lower Housatonic River Fishing Report

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie W. and I struck out in a couple of the usual spots before we finally ran to another area.

We latched onto a school of small striped bass...caught 30 of them.

Many of the fish were take on flies.

Some readers will be able to tell where it was we caught these fish by what they can see in the background of these photos.

The Brant [small geese] have arrived already; they'll probably be around for several weeks before heading to their wintering grounds.

Don’t forget, a saltwater fishing license is now required to fish the marine waters of Connecticut. You can purchase one from your local bait & tackle shop, such as Newtown Bait & Tackle, or at Town/City Hall.
